The aim of the Physical Education and Health Curriculum is to provide students with planned and balanced programming to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes for physically active and healthy lifestyles. The vision is physically active and healthy lifestyles for all students.
Students explore Physical Education through five main essential learning areas, with building their fitness level at the center of their learning. These essential learning areas are:
1) Movement
2) Fitness management
3) Safety
4) Personal and social management
5) Healthy lifestyle practices
Students will have the opportunity to explore and experience Physical Education through various low organized games, activities, intramurals and sport related fitness activities. Students will also have the opportunity to learn more about healthy lifestyles through health activities and games.
